We all encounter the effects of mental illness or intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). Maybe a co-worker is struggling with a family memberís illness, or a classmate of your childís suffers from a learning disability. Maybe itís one of your loved ones. At times, living with mental issues can be challenging; maybe life seems confusing, or maybe you struggle with feeling stigmatized.
At MHMRA of Harris County, we know there is hope for you and those you love. We provide care and support through three service divisions: Mental Health, Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, and Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Programs. We serve 15,000 people per month, about 3,600 of whom are children. While we can only count the number of individuals we serve, we know our impact extends to their entire community.
If you are in a psychiatric emergency, or if you need information, please call our HelpLine at the numbers listed below. Qualified Mental Health Professionals are available to assist you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
